Refunds & Transfer Policies
REFUNDS
We will accept refunds for full passes and social passes as follows (no refunds for individual social tickets):
- Up to 60 days before the event (28 July): Full refund
- From 60 to 30 days before the event (29 July – 27 August): 50% refund
- Within 30 days of the event (after 28 August): No refund
A $15 processing fee applies to all refunds (you will receive the refund less $15).
TRANSFERS
We welcome pass transfers at no cost up to 5 days before the event (21 September). All transfers must be:
- to a person who will dance the same role as you (lead or follow) in any workshops related to your pass
- submitted in writing to us via email with Your Full Name, the person’s full name, their email and phone, and confirmation that they will be doing the same role as your workshop
- for the complete pass you have purchased. No split or partial transfers are permitted.
- financially managed between the affected parties; i.e. yourself and the person you are transferring to. We will not refund your pass and resell to the select person receiving the pass.
If you would like assistance connecting to a person to transfer your ticket to, you may contact us for connection to someone on the waitlist. While we cannot guarantee a transfer, we can support the initial connection up to 5 days before the event.
The resale of tickets may be subject to state and local laws and regulations. Any violation of such laws may result in your prosecution by such agencies. Boogie Down South assumes no liability arising from your resale or attempted resale of tickets purchased through us.
CANCELLATIONS
If we need to cancel Boogie Down South, we will refund your ticket price (minus booking fees); however, we are unable to refund any flights and accommodation you have purchased. We encourage those travelling from interstate or overseas to obtain insurance or flexible flights and accommodation.
Duty Of Care
The committee members of South West Swing and Boogie Down South teachers will do all we can to keep our participants safe during our classes, socials and events, however injuries can happen while dancing. We will not accept responsibility for accidents and injuries. Look out for yourselves and each other and take a breather when needed.
Lost Possessions
South West Swing is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items at our events.
Under Age Admission
Children must be accompanied by a Guardian at social events to comply with liquor licensing rules.
