Socials & Music

Three big nights of Social Dancing with local bands!

Welcome drinks, social dancing and great musicians for all to enjoy!

Thursday

Thirst Stopper – eat, meet, dance, repeat:

Join us after our regular Thursday night classes for welcome drinks at the aptly named Swings Taphouse, downtown Margaret River. The woodfired pizzas come highly recommended. This is a chance for visitors and local dancers to get to know one another over a bite to eat and a cheeky dance or two.

Blind Tiger

What better location to swing dance than a country hall built in the 1930s? Put on your Saturday best and strut your stuff to the sounds of some of our favourite local musicians. We are lucky enough to dance to Doxy regularly in Margaret River. For a extra special treat they will be expanding to a seven piece band for the night!

The Location: Hall Road, Cowaramup
The Spread: Bar and snacks available
Door Sales: $35

Sunday

Cattle Royal – aka: The Great Crash-Dance

29 October marks 88 years since the Wall Street Crash of 1929 – the Great Crash that signalled the beginning of the end of the roaring 20s and the jazz age. 2017 sure is better than 1929 – I mean, it’s not like there’s any kind powerful madman in charge of a growing military banging on about a return to greatness, yeah?*

You’ll all love the country bowls club prices, which make you think it’s 2007. And more than that, you’ll love the chance to dance your socks off in Cowaramup’s brilliant backroom dance hall to the sounds of some of your favourite local DJ tunes. Drinks and dinner available.

*oh hang on…

Cowaramup District Social Club
The Span: 6 – 10 pm
The Location: 10 Memorial Dr, Cowaramup
The Spread: Full bar and dinner available (kitchen open 6 – 7.30pm)

Perth and South West general public welcome to come along and watch to join in the fun!

I'm so keen. Where do I stay?
