Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Will there be more than one ticket release?
A: No, at this stage there is only one ticket release. If we determine later that there is capacity to release more tickets, we will make an announcement via email and social media so anyone who missed out has enough time to prepare.
Q: Is there a waitlist?
A: Yes! Complete this Form to add yourself to the waitlist. You can email us at [email protected] with any additional questions.
Q: Why isn’t Late Night included in the Full Pass?
A: Our Late Night venue is considerably smaller than our main social venues. Rather than limiting full passes due to the capacity of Late Night, we have kept it as a separate add on to ensure more people have access to a Full Pass.
Q: How many tickets are available?
A: Pass numbers are reasonably limited due to modest venue capacities here in the regional South West and in order to keep class sizes comfortable for teachers and students. BDS 2025 will have an overall maximum capacity of 250, Full Passes are capped at 190, and other events vary in smaller numbers from there (e.g. Late Night at 80, Lunch & Learn at 100). We recommend being prepared on Ticket Day, May 4th!
Q: Can I have a refund?
A: Maybe! It depends how close to the event it currently is. Details can be found under Terms and Conditions.
Q: Can I transfer my pass?
A: Yes, up to 5 days before the event. Read all the required details under Terms and Conditions. Note that you must notify us via email when transfering your pass.
Q: Will there be Level checks?
A: Yes, teachers will spend the first ~10 minutes of class conducting level checks in both levels to make sure students are appropriately levelled and may move students to another level. Read more about BDS levels on the Classes page.
Q: The level I wanted was sold out, what should I do?
A: Email us to be added to the waitlist. In the meantime you can choose to purchase a social pass or and other individual tickets/add-ons. If you missed out on the advanced level, you may also choose to get a pass for the intermediate level to avoid missing out entirely and still request to be added to your preferred level in the meantime. We will contact you if/when your requested level is available.
Q: Is it easy to get around the region without a car?
A: No, unfortunately getting around the region with public transport is a challenge. We highly recommend carpooling with some of the many BDS attendees. You can join the BDS Carpooling and Hosting Facebook Group here to link up with others. If visiting from interstate, there is car rental at the Perth and Busselton airports.
Q: Where should I stay for BDS 2025?
A: We recommend situating yourself in or around Dunsborough. Dunsborough is the location for all Workshops, 1xSocial, Late Night, Lunch & Learn, and the Long Table Dinner. It’s a vibrant holiday hub and a great central point for access to the other two socials during the event. See more on the Travel page.
Q: What can I eat and drink at the socials?
A: Details of all food and drink options can be found on the Socials & Events page of the website.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: If you need support to attend Boogie Down South, please email us at [email protected] to discuss options.
